Salsa Thursday!

Clara Toro, a native of The Bronx, New York, is of Puerto Rican descent. Clara's roots in teaching, promoting and organizing Salsa events in Richmond go back to 2006. Two years later, her successes led to the formal establishment of her company, Salsa4life.com. Clara's background in dancing Salsa dates back to 1993 in the hot Salsa venues of New York City. After graduating from Baruch College in NYC with a B.B.A in accounting, she relocated her family to Richmond in 1998.

Giovanni Roggiero, son of Clara Toro, began learning how to dance Salsa at the tender age of 14. After two years of dancing Salsa, Giovanni became a Salsa instructor. He also serves up a hot Salsa mix as "DJ Taz" at Salsa4Life events. When away from the Salsa scene, Gio is a full-time college student, majoring in Business Administration.

Angel A. Rodriguez Serrano, originally from New York, has participated in international dance events and has been instructing different types of Latin dance for over 20 years. Angel's repertoire also includes 10 years of teaching Ballroom dance. His passion for dance and teaching experiences has taken him to Puerto Rico, New York, North Carolina and now Richmond.
